Will My Laptop Shut Off While Uploading a Youtube Video Over Night

Hey all, so one thing I see a lot is people (mainly new to YouTube) saying that there videos take forever to upload and procedure, so they're saturday there waiting for it to finish before they tin shutdown do other things. So I thought I would brand this post to inform those who think this way.

When you lot start uploading, the video is being sent to the YouTubes servers and your calculator (or other device if yous're using a tablet or phone) will need to be turned on and connected to the cyberspace during this time but in one case the video starts processing there is no longer any data for that video going from your computer to the servers meaning yous're free to close down the figurer or even just close the tab and move onto other things.

And then basically once you see this....

...you can shut everything downwardly and move on with your day, in that location is no need to wait for the processing bar to compete.

NOTE: Information technology has been suggested to wait till the processing is at at least 1% earlier closing annihilation, personally not experienced any issue endmost earlier 1% just for safety with your own videos it may be worth that few seconds of extra expect time.

When I upload my routine is as follows, I start the upload and enter all the relevant information (tags, description, title), I and then upload the thumbnail that I've made for that video, prepare the ads up if I desire ads on the video and then printing Salvage Changes, at present this is done and looks a bit like this:

At present its merely a case of waiting for the video to finish uploading and once it is I can close down the PC or close the tab.

I hope this helps someone out, as I say, I've seen a lot of channels (non but new ones) waiting for videos to finish processing before they shut the PC down or shut the tab.

Sometimes I close the browser inside a second as the video is uploaded, so the processing takes forever, until I reupload again, and it will start processing straight. Try to re upload and don't shut the browser until the processing has started at to the lowest degree 1%.

I've never experience any issues myself with closing the browser before 1% merely but in case others practise i've edited the mail service to reflect your experiences.

A surprising amount of people dont know, I accept a friend who'southward got over 100,00 subs and but recently I find out he was still waiting for the processing to finish before endmost things, so its not just noobs that do it

I only establish out about it myself when I was uploading a video and my power went out at the processing point around 45%, after going to the shops to top-upwards my electric meter and coming dorsum I was surprised to see the video had finished processing so I started running tests to see when closing the tab it didn't affair anymore.
